LOVE SEEING ALL THE PHOTOS FROM YOUR HOLIDAY!! Keep them coming for as long as you like.

Hope you had a great day off today. It is so beautiful here today - we've had fog since early this morning and the frost on everything is heavy and gorgeous. The only trouble with the frost so heavy is that the power has gone out 4 times today. The first time was when we got to the Coop for lunch and we had to wait till it came back on to order lunch, the second time was when we were in the Dollarama Store and then again, we waited till it came back on again. Since I've been home, it's gone out twice.

Not too much planned for the rest of the evening - probably watch some sort of Olympic Sport I'm sure.

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

What awesome photos. You're right on about the shuttle, it gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. It was truly a wonderful experience, one we'll never forget. We're so glad that you enjoyed it as much as we did. It was worth staying up all night for. I know we were third time lucky so we're glad you got it done on the second try. The boys will never forget it and neither will you.

The Disneyworld experience is written all over your faces, it is impossible not to love it there. It is truly a land of wonder and awe. How can it be so perfect?? Who knows? We were in awe also.

Our neighbors in Peg Leg Wash are from Bowmanville and Jane worked at Scotiabank head office in Toronto until she retired in May. What a small world. They also told us that we are parked in the spot that this other couple from Alberta were in. Turns out it was Dean and Jane, friends of ours from Lethbridge and the ones that told us we should come here. They'll be back here March 1 for the desert flowers but our neighbors Jim and Jane are going to Costa Rica for a while so they'll be gone when Dean and Jane get back here. It's amazing who you meet while so far from home.

The weather is only perfect here and Yuma. The coast is cool with 5 days of rain expected next week. We really want to go to the coast but we love it here (Anza Borrego Desert) so much that Dad wants to buy a place. Surrounded by mountains in a desert valley. It doesn't get much better.

The VW dealer phoned today to let us know that they screwed up when repairing our car last Wednesday so we're happy that we don't have another bill and that we don't have to pay for the rental. They were so up front about it. We thought we'd screwed it up going off road and having to back out of a very tricky situation. Poor car, not meant for what we put it through.

Boys, you look so grown up. We can't wait to see you in July. Are you watching the Olympics? We are watching Canada and Sweden hockey right now. The generator has been working overtime since the Olympics started. Thank goodness it runs quiet although BLM rules are 7 a.m. to 10 pm and we never usually put it on until 6 pm and just a couple of minutes in the morning for a latte.

Love to all from Borrego Springs
