weigh in wednesday
Must we??? I am only because Craig mentioned his weight to me so I feel honor bound to write this. I am at my before holidays weight, so that is good. That doesn't mean much, to be honest. I'm still huge.
Food has always been my crutch. I don't know why that is. I don't know if I have told this story before but here goes - I remember one time we were travelling (mom, dad, me and Jessica) and I was reading all the billboards and after a while of doing this my mom asked me if I noticed I was only reading the food billboards. Who would have known that my obsession with food back then would lead to this?
On our recent holiday I was reminded of this memory as I read billboards to Craig. I had to consciously force myself to read out gas prices and "Risque Cafe - truckers welcome". (Georgia, the land of pecans, peaches and porn).
The worst part of all of this is that while I can now comfortably wear my wedding ring again, there are no visible signs of loss. I am thinking of Avery's birthday coming up and all the family and friends that will be there and man does that freak me out. It is all on me, for sure. In my ramped up mind all I can think of is the conversations of the other guests on their way home. "Man, is she fat". Yes, yes, I am.
OK - pity party over.
Just for laughs - check out this blog http://dontevenreply.com. This guy goes onto Craig's list and Kijiji and responds to ads that are listed. You will laugh your head off. Craig was laughing so hard no sound was coming out.

We spent two days at the Animal Kingdom and had a lot of fun. It kind of reminded us of a big zoo, but it was very nice. We really loved the safari and many of these pictures are from that. I was amazed at how many different animals they had. It was really quite something.

Proud Canadian
Tonight I stayed up with the fam (Kaedo only made it until 11pm) and watched the opening of the 21 st Winter Olympiad. Tonight, as every night, I am very proud to be Canadian. What a magnificent representation of this great land we live in. I hope that everyone who visits here during these games gets the opportunity to relish in the awesomeness that is Canada.
So sad to see the Olympic and Canadian Flags flying at half mast tonight. Craig and I saw the footage of the Georgian athlete's crash this evening and were horrified and saddened by the events that took place. I was so moved to see the Georgian team participate in the opening ceremony, black arm band and heads held high while they honored their fallen comrade. If you have not seen the footage of the crash, don't. It is one of the most tragic things I have ever seen and I am thinking of all the "sliders" that must get on their sleds over the next 16 days. I don't know how they will do it.
To all my fellow Canadians - we should all be proud today, for all the world will see what a truly outstanding land we live in.

Autograph Hounds
The Princesses were hilarious. They teased the boys about being so handsome and they taught them how to hold the arm of a Princess. They were darling. Great memories. More to come. Keep checking back.
